Fog, Smog and the Yuck!

It's that lovely time of the year when the dreaded inversion socks it to you.  For the past two weeks, we've been living in the fog, smog and it's yucky!.  So bad that you can't take a deep breath of fresh air in your lungs.  You can smell the exhaust from the vehicles in front of you as though you were personally sucking it direct from the tail pipe.  We have to wait for a storm to stir up the air and blow the bad stuff out of the valley.  If you go up to the mountains, it is cleaner, clear, and even warmer.  But for now, we suffer.  I heard a news bit that said that breathing in clean air will lengthen your life span.
Since we are spending more time indoors, we have to keep ourselves amused.  So, I took a few video shots to share here.  It's from work, at home, and with our pet, Ipo.  Hope you enjoy the short bits.  I am getting used to my new camera, Nikon D90 of which I acquired from Erin in a trade/sell deal.  anyway, it has some neat functions such as video capability besides all the digital photo taking.  I have much to learn about the new camera, believe me.  Since the air is too yucky to go out and take some pictures, here I'll play with the camera.
With times like this when the weather is awful, we look forward to nicer weather so we can get out to take some pictures.  We sure miss the warmth of Hawaii, even with the rain.  We miss the clear blue sky of summer, family travel trips, and all the good fun stuff.  I guess that's why we put up with the no so spectacular days so we can make the better ones a time to enjoy.
In closing, here is a message meant for our children.  She wants to paint more but has no pictures to paint.

The kids got a kick out of the video of Ipo. I didn't hear any talking on the one of the office (is that Mom's or yours, Dad?). And I'll see if I can find some pics in my photo files for mom. Have a happy Friday!

You can move here where there's little smog. very little people = very little pollution and maybe the sagebrush is really air purifying. :)
